南丰镇住了一群客家人，与黎苗还有儋州人混居。杨晓波是个唱山歌的，他要去收集整理方圆几个村镇的山歌，他出发了。叶伟通是杨晓波儿子的发小，弹着吉它他带我去逛他的叶屋村。祖屋里住着伟通的伯公叶方奎，生活还能自理，但他老了。元宵到了，各村要抬神轿上街做热闹，但这事原本是被禁止的，冼夫人的管理人要到政府机构去打招呼。路瓦村抬上神轿冲上了戒严的大街但很快被请了回去，他们只有等到派出所下班之后再去。

The administrator of the Temple of the Lady of God asks the local government for permission. The villagers rush to the blocked street but are sent back. The only choice is to return after the police get off work.
