《鸟屋》聚焦一个因古屋保留而引发争议的马六甲华人家庭。两兄弟围绕祖屋的去留产生分歧：弟弟阿华希望将老屋改造成鸟屋，哥哥阿杰则坚持保留祖屋。父亲始终沉默，却深切感受着这一切变化。影片以战前老屋为平台，探讨现代人与古老空间的关系，以及围绕文化遗产展开的道德伦理与失落情绪。《鸟屋》是邱涌耀的第一部长篇，大部分拍摄于马六甲。

The Bird House enters the life of a Chinese family in Melaka divided by heritage conservation. Two brothers clash over the fate of their ancestral house, while the aging father remains silent yet deeply affected. Shot on location in Melaka, the film marks Khoo Eng Yow’s feature debut.
