为了见流亡的女儿一面，妈妈拖着病体远赴高雄旅游，却在返国之后遭到调查，甚而得将这段亲子关系登报作废。本片透过一场困难重重的家庭团聚，直指政府下的权威暴力。在扭曲的权利下，家庭关系也扭曲了，纵然彼此牵挂，却“无话可说”。

A trip to Taiwan has molded the character of a Chinese mother, where she meets up with her daughter exiled to Hong Kong. With a moving mother and daughter story, Ying Liang reveals the secrets hidden in the mother and subtly depicts the political dilemma of Taiwan, Hong Kong and China.
