Three Gorges 2002 is a documentary photography series created by filmmaker and photographer Zhou Hao before the impoundment of the Three Gorges Dam. Featuring 36 selected black-and-white and colour photographs, the series documents everyday life, migration, and disappearing landscapes along the Yangtze River on the eve of one of China’s most significant transformations.
Works from the series have entered the collections of art institutions, private collectors, and members of the international cultural community.
