上世纪八十年代，一个新名词“椒客”在韩城流行开来。韩城因大红袍花椒闻名，每到采摘季节，需要雇佣大量外来劳力，其中多为女性。据说每年赴韩城的椒客不少于十万人。本片跟随一群来自陕西合阳的女性椒客，在韩城山顶采摘花椒的旅程，展现乡村女性的劳动与迁徙故事。
